Screen Resolution
In order to improve the appearance of this website it is recommended that the screen resolution be increased to 1024 by 768 pixels. If a lower resolution is used, some of the information included will not be displayed. Make sure that you have the screen maximized to view the entire display. Browser software recommendations are Netscape 4.07 or Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. Netscape is recommended for MAC users. The map display will be slower on dial-up lines or slower modems. Performance may be affected during time of peak use for your host server. In some cases, increasing the space available on your hard drive may improve response time. Many of our links result in the opening of a new window. If you have a pop-up blocker enabled, you may experience a problem seeing these pages. Please allow pop-ups from www.johnson-county.com to obtain the full benefit of Johnson County GIS Online. To do this, click Tools (while in Internet Explorer), then Pop-up Blocker and choose Pop-up Blocker Settings. In the Pop-up Blocker Settings window, enter "http://www.johnson-county.com" in the Allowed Sites list.Image Toolbar
Occasionally, the Microsoft Internet Explorer Image Toolbar will get in the way when attempting to view maps through Johnson County GIS Online. In the picture below, you can see the red arrow pointing to the Image Toolbar.
If you would ever like to turn this toolbar on or off, simply do the following:
1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Internet Options (under the Tools menu).
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down until you see the Multimedia category.
5. Put a check next to Enable Image Toolbar (requires restart).
Alternatively, you can disable the toolbar by simply moving your cursor over the toolbar and right clicking. Now select Disable Image Toolbar.
