CHANGE IN HUMAN SERVICES FY 2002 Human services have grown over a two year period from an actual expenditure in FY00 of 14.8 million dollars to a budgeted amount in FY02 of $16.6 million. The mental health component is the largest, as is indicated by the three year graph and table below. Mental health care is comprised of four programs: care of persons with mental health problems/mental illness, care of persons with chronic mental illness, care of persons with mental retardation, and care of persons with other developmental disabilities. Social services are provided through five programs: services to the poor, services to military veterans, children's and family services, services to other adults, and chemical dependency program. Physical health and education services are administered through two programs: physical health services, and educational services.
