Vice-Chairperson Terrence Neuzil called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:01 a.m. Members present were: Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, and Carol Thompson; absent: Pat Harney and Sally Stutsman.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Neuzil, Lehman, Thompson; absent: Stutsman, Harney.

Motion by Thompson, second by Lehman, to elect Terrence Neuzil as Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors for a term ending December 31, 2004.

Motion by Lehman, second by Thompson, to elect Sally Stutsman as Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors for a term ending December 31, 2004.

Motion by Thompson, second by Lehman, to set the weekly Board of Supervisors formal meeting at 9:00 a.m. followed by the informal meeting, except for the second Thursday of the month, the formal meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. followed by the informal meeting.

Motion by Thompson, second by Lehman, to appoint Pat Harney to the Sixth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Board of Directors.

Motion by Lehman, second by Thompson, to designate the Iowa City Press-Citizen, Lone Tree Reporter, North Liberty Leader, and Solon Economist as official newspapers of Johnson County.

Motion by Lehman, second by Thompson, to appoint Sally Stutsman to the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce.
