MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
MARCH 16, 2004
Chairperson Neuzil called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil; absent: Sally Stutsman and Carol Thompson.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Harney, Neuzil, Lehman; absent: Stutsman, Thompson.
Convened Public Hearing on proposing to enter into a loan agreement in the principal amount of $3,965,000 pursuant to the provisions of Section 331.402 of the Code of Iowa for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of funding county health, property and casualty insurance programs at 9:00 a.m.
Budget Coordinator Jeff Horne presented the proposal to enter into a loan agreement in the principal amount of $3,965,000 pursuant to the provisions of Section 331.402 of the Code of Iowa for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of funding county health, property and casualty insurance programs. No one from the public was present to speak.

RESOLUTION 03-16-04-01
TAKING ADDITIONAL ACTION TO ENTER INTO A LOAN AGREEMENT
Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of Section 331.402 of the Code of Iowa, the Board of Supervisors of Johnson County, Iowa (hereinafter referred to as the "County"), has heretofore proposed to contract indebtedness and enter into a loan agreement (the "Loan Agreement") in the principal amount of $3,965,000, for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of funding county health, property and casualty insurance programs, and has published notice of the proposed action and has held a hearing thereon;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Johnson County, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The Board hereby determines to enter into the Loan Agreement, and determines that this Resolution constitutes the "additional action" required by Section 331.402 of the Code of Iowa.
Section 2. All resolutions and orders or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this resolution, to the extent of such conflict, are hereby repealed.
Motion by Lehman, second by Harney, to approve Resolution 03-16-04-01.
Motion by Harney, second by Lehman, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign a letter to the City Development Board supporting the North Liberty, Iowa annexation request from Quarter Moon Farms.
