MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
DECEMBER 30, 2004
Chairperson Neuzil called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. Members present were: Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Carol Thompson; absent: Pat Harney.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Stutsman, Neuzil, Lehman, Thompson; absent: Harney.
Sixth Judicial District Court Judge Douglas S. Russell swore in the following Johnson County elected officials: Supervisor Terrence Neuzil, County Auditor Tom Slockett, Supervisor elect Rod Sullivan, and County Sheriff elect Lonnie Pulkrabek.
Recessed at 9:05 a.m.; reconvened at 9:13 a.m.
Motion by Thompson, second by Stutsman, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Lehman, second by Stutsman, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of December 23, 2004.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Thompson, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Lehman, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign a letter of commitment for possible land exchange between Johnson County and the General Service Agency (GSA) to Paul Anderson, Deputy Director, Iowa Office, General Services Agency and to change the first paragraph to read "The Board of Supervisors recognizes the need to acquire property to meet future needs."
Motion by Thompson, second by Stutsman, to appoint Susan Campney as the Interim General Assistance Director at a rate of 4% above her current salary.
Motion by Thompson, second by Stutsman, to accept and implement the GIS Policy Committee recommendations. Roll call: aye: Stutsman, Lehman, Thompson; nay: Neuzil; absent: Harney.
