MINUTES OF THE INFORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

JANUARY 6, 2005

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:20 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.

HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR LORA SHRAMEK: JOB DESCRIPTION FOR GENERAL ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR

Horne suggested that they discuss the proposed General Assistance Director job description in a work session. The Board scheduled a work session regarding the reorganization of the Human Services Department on January 11, 2005 at 1:30 p.m.

DISCUSSION: RENEWING CONSTRUCTION EVALUATION RESOLUTION TO UTILIZE MASTER MATRIX BETWEEN FEBRUARY 1, 2005 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2006

The Board agreed to put renewing the construction evaluation resolution to utilize the master matrix between February 1, 2005 through January 31, 2006 on a future formal agenda for approval.

DISCUSSION: SCHEDULING ISAC COUNTY-A-DAY ACTIVITIES FOR 2005

The Board scheduled ISAC County-a-Day activities for 2005 on February 23, 2005.

DISCUSSION: SCHEDULING THE PUBLIC LEADERSHIP SUMMIT MEETING FOR THIS MONTH

The Board scheduled the Public Leadership Summit to be held January 24, 2005 at 4:30 p.m. with the location to be determined at a later date.

DISCUSSION: SCHEDULING THE NEXT JOINT CITIES MEETING

The Board scheduled the Joint Cities Meeting to be held January 26, 2005 at 4:30 p.m. with the location to be determined at a later date.

REPORTS AND INQUIRIES FROM THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

Neuzil announced that there will be a meeting with HR Green at Southslope on January 12, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. Neuzil will be having a Listening Post at Hills Bar and Grill on January 13, 2005 at from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Lehman met with HR Green, Secondary Roads, and Planning and Zoning regarding the upcoming meeting at Southslope.

Harney attended the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce meeting and an Emergency Management Meeting.

R. Sullivan said that there is a lot to learn and he appreciates the help of the Board of Supervisors.

Stutsman said that the Empowerment Board has asked the Board of Supervisors to fill out a survey regarding involvement with the Empowerment Board. Stutsman reminded elected officials of the Compensation Board meeting at 6:00 p.m. Stutsman attended a Scattered Site Housing Task Force meeting.
