MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
FEBRUARY 2, 2006
Chairperson Lehman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:02 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Neuzil, second by Harney, to approve the minutes of the formal meetings of January 26, 2006 and January 30, 2006.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Harney, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Neuzil, to accept the Recorder’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of December, 2005, in the amount of $189,093.48, as submitted by County Recorder Kim Painter.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the collective bargaining tentative agreement with American Federation of State, Municipal and County Employees (AFSCME Local 183) unit of Social Services MH/DD.
Recessed to informal meeting at 9:05 a.m.; reconvened at 9:13 a.m.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Stutsman, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the collective bargaining tentative agreement with American Federation of State, Municipal and County Employees (AFSCME Local 183) unit of SEATS.
Motion by Neuzil, second by Sullivan, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the right-of-way acquisition agreement for intersection improvements at the intersection of Derby Avenue and Linn-Johnson Road in Johnson County for Project LFM-DB-LJ--7X-52 in the amount of $4,330.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Harney, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the renewal of the agreement between Johnson County and the Johnson County Agricultural Association for the period July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007.
Motion by Neuzil, second by Sullivan, declaring broken and outdated computer equipment submitted by Information Services as surplus property and no longer of county use and authorize for disposal.
Motion by Neuzil, second by Stutsman, to appoint the following Supervisors to the following Subcommittees of the Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Planning Council: Executive Committee-Mike Lehman; Advocacy Committee-Terrence Neuzil; Continuous Quality Improvement-Sullivan; Finance Committee-Pat Harney and Sally Stutsman.
