MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

DECEMBER 13, 2006

Chairperson Lehman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Courthouse at 2:07 p.m.  Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

RESOLUTION 12-13-06-01

RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE RETIREMENT OF JOHNSON COUNTY ATTORNEY J. PATRICK WHITE AND DESIGNATING THE J. PATRICK WHITE LAW LIBRARY

Whereas, J. Patrick White has served the people of Johnson County, Iowa for over thirty-one (31) years, acting as First Assistant Johnson County Attorney from 1975 through 1982 and as Johnson County Attorney from 1983 through 2006; and

Whereas, J. Patrick White will be retiring from the Office of Johnson County Attorney on December 31, 2006, after a distinguished career of public service; and

Whereas, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors deems it appropriate to formally recognize the retirement of Johnson County Attorney J. Patrick White in a manner fitting of his years of service to the public.

Therefore, Be It Resolved that the Johnson County Board of Supervisors formally recognizes Johnson County Attorney J. Patrick White for his distinguished service to the people of Johnson County, Iowa, and, in so doing, hereby designates the law library in the Johnson County Courthouse as the J. Patrick White Law Library.

Motion by Harney, second by Stutsman, to approve Resolution 12-13-06-01.
