MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
JANUARY 18, 2007
Chairperson Harney called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:02 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan; absent: Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Harney; absent: Neuzil, Meyers.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Stutsman, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting January 11, 2007.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Stutsman, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign: a Renewal Application for a Native Winery Permit, Application For Outdoor Service Area, and Application For Sunday Sales Privilege for Wallace Winery, West Branch, as submitted by John McNutt and Ilene Lande.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to place on file the Clerk’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of December, 2006, in the amount of $8,256.75, as submitted by Clerk of District Court Lodema Berkley.

NAMING DEPOSITORIES
Whereas, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors in Johnson County, Iowa approves the list of financial institutions to be depositories of Johnson County funds and specifies the maximum amount which may be kept on deposit in each depository, in conformance with Code of Iowa, section 12C.2, Deposit of Public Funds, Approval-requirements; and
Whereas, this resolution amends Resolution 11-03-05-B1;
Therefore be it resolved that the following depositories and maximum deposit balances be approved:

First consideration of an ordinance amending the Johnson County Unified Development Ordinance Chapter 8:1.17 Flood Plain management to adopt a new flood plain zoning map.
On January 11, 2007, motion by Neuzil, second by Stutsman, to approve on first consideration an ordinance amending the Johnson County Unified Development Ordinance Chapter 8:1.17 Flood Plain management to adopt a new flood plain zoning map. Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Harney, Neuzil, Meyers.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Stutsman, approve on second consideration an ordinance amending the Johnson County Unified Development Ordinance Chapter 8:1.17 Flood Plain management to adopt a new flood plain zoning map. Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Harney; absent: Neuzil, Meyers.
Motion by Sullivan, second by Stutsman, to approve hiring a Jail Alternatives/Mobile Crisis Team member.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to approve the Marilyn Irvin request for tax suspension at 2254 South Riverside Drive Trailer 52, Iowa City, Iowa.
