MINUTES OF THE INFORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

DECEMBER 5, 2007

      Chairperson Harney called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:05 a.m.  Members present were: Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan; absent: Pat Harney.

Executive Session: Evaluation and Goal Setting of County Engineer Greg Parker

      Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to enter into Executive Session at 9:05 a.m. for an annual evaluation of County Engineer Greg Parker under section 21.5(1.i), Code of Iowa, “to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.”  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney.

      Motion by Neuzil, second by Meyers, to leave Executive Session at 9:26 a.m.  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney.

      Recessed at 9:26 a.m.; reconvened at 9:32 a.m.

Executive Session: Pre-Evaluation and Goal Setting of Ambulance Director

      Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to enter into Executive Session at 9:32 a.m. a.m. for an annual evaluation of Ambulance Director Steve Spenler under section 21.5(1.i), Code of Iowa, “to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.”  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney.

      Motion by Stutsman, second by Neuzil, to leave Executive Session at 10:15 a.m.  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney.

      Recessed at 10:15 a.m.; reconvened at 10:26 a.m.

      Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to enter into Executive Session at 10:26 a.m. for an annual evaluation of Information Services Director under section 21.5(1.i), Code of Iowa, “to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.”  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney.

      Motion by Neuzil, second by Stutsman, to leave Executive Session at 10:49 a.m.  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Stutsman, Neuzil, Meyers; absent; Harney.
