MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

MARCH 6, 2008

      Chairperson Sullivan called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m.  Members present were: Pat Harney, Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.

      Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Meyers, second by Stutsman, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of February 28, 2008.

Motion by Harney, second by Neuzil, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Neuzil, second by Stutsman, to accept the Recorder’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of January, 2008, in the amount of $149,693.83, as submitted by County Recorder Kim Painter.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to authorize the Auditor’s Office to publish a Notice of Public Hearing for March 27, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. for a Road Vacation on Sand Road SE North of Nursery Lane SE in East Lucas Township.

Motion by Harney, second by Neuzil, to accept the Johnson County Secondary Roads Five-Year Road Construction Program for 2009-2013 and the Future Projects Right-of-Way Needs Map.

      Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to approve a $25 monthly fee for employees parking in the Human Health and Service parking ramp.  

Motion by Meyers, second by Neuzil, to include a ballot measure in the 2008 General Election for a $20 million bond issue by the Johnson County Conservation Board for land preservation funds.

      Adjourned to informal meeting at 9:26 a.m.
