MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

APRIL 8, 2008

      Chairperson Sullivan called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 1:00 p.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Tiffin Special Election of April 1, 2008.  Members present were: Rod Sullivan, Terrence Neuzil, and Larry Meyers; absent: Pat Harney and Sally Stutsman.

ABSTRACT OF VOTES

      FOR THE OFFICE OF Tiffin City Council (To Fill Vacancy) there were ninety-five (95) votes cast as follows: Chris J. Ball received sixty-five (65) votes, Monika Deatsch received twelve (12) votes, Kevin Surber received nine (9) votes, Roger Utsler received eight (8) votes, and scattered votes were one (1).

      We therefore declare Chris J. Ball duly elected to the office of Tiffin City Council to fill a vacancy for the term beginning the 8th day of April, 2008 and ending the 31st day of December, 2009. 

Motion by Neuzil, second by Meyers, to approve the results of the Tiffin Special Election of April 1, 2008.  Roll call: aye: Sullivan, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney, Stutsman.
