MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

JUNE 10, 2008

      Chairperson Sullivan called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 1:04 p.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Primary Election of June 3, 2008.  Members present were: Pat Harney, Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.

STATEMENT OF JUNE 3, 2008 PRIMARY ELECTION OUTCOME

The following information is provided according to the requirements of the Code of Iowa Section 43.62.

The Democratic Party candidates nominated by the electors of Johnson County or subdivison thereof and the offices for which they are so nominated at the June 3, 2008, Primary Election are:

County Board of Supervisors - Pat Harney

County Board of Supervisors - Terrence Neuzil

County Board of Supervisors - Rod Sullivan

County Auditor - Tom Slockett

County Sheriff - Lonny L. Pulkrabek

The following is a list of offices for which no nomination was made by the Republican Party in Johnson County at the June 3, 2008, Primary Election:

County Auditor

County Sheriff

Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to approve the results of the Primary Election of June 3, 2008 as canvassed and authorize the Board of Supervisors to sign the required lists to be certified to the chairperson of each party central committee.  Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan, Neuzil, Meyers.
