MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

JUNE 18, 2008

      Chairperson Sullivan called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order at the Iowa City Public Library at 10:30 a.m.  Members present were: Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan; absent was Pat Harney.

      Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Stutsman, Sullivan, Neuzil, Meyers; absent: Harney.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Neuzil, second by Stutsman, to approve the minutes of the June 12, 2008 formal meeting, the June 12, 2008 emergency meeting, and the June 14, 2008 emergency meeting.

Motion by Meyers, second by Stutsman, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to approve Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Services FY09 Provider Agency Rates for Hillcrest.

Motion by Neuzil, second by Stutsman, to approve Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Services FY09 Provider Agency Rates for MYEP (Mayor’s Youth Empowerment Program.

Motion by Meyers, second by Neuzil, to approve Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Services FY09 Provider Agency Rates for Life Skills.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the following Applications for Fireworks Permits: Christopher Handley, 5404 180th Street NE, Solon, on June 28, 2008 or June 29, 2008 for display at 5060 180th Street NE, Solon; Steven M. Lee, 1802 Mehaffey Bridge Road NE, Solon, on July 4, 2008 (rain date July 12, 2008); and John A. Whetstine, 3986 Cedar Lane NE, Solon, on July 5, 2008.

      Adjourned to informal meeting at 10:37 a.m.
