Executive Session: Evaluation and Goal Setting of Facilities Manager David Kempf
Board of Supervisors Discussion: Board Liaison Appointments.
Chairperson Harney called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:08 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Larry Meyers, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan; absent: Terrence Neuzil.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to enter into Executive Session at 9:08 a.m. for an annual evaluation of Facilities Manager under section 21.5(1.i), Code of Iowa, “to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.” Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan, Meyers; absent: Neuzil.
Motion by Meyers, second by Stutsman, to leave Executive Session at 9:30 a.m. Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan, Meyers; absent: Neuzil.
Recessed at 9:30 a.m.; reconvened at 9:34 a.m.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to enter into Executive Session at 9:34 a.m. for an annual evaluation of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Director under section 21.5(1.i), Code of Iowa, “to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.” Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan, Meyers; absent: Neuzil.
The Board gathered in executive session to draft the evaluation of Mental Health/Development Disabilites Director Kris Artley. The evaluation will be presented to her on August 6, 2008.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Meyers, to leave Executive Session at 9:57 a.m. Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan, Meyers; absent: Neuzil.
The Board discussed their liaison appointments to various department heads.
