MINUTES OF THE INFORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
SEPTEMBER 17, 2008
Chairperson Sullivan called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.
Stutsman asked what the Board is supposed to do in reference to the Strategic Plan. She wondered if the Board is supposed to be working on the objectives and goals, or if Executive Assistant Mike Sullivan is doing that. Harney said his understanding is that the Board committees are supposed to meet and go over what the Board wants to do and then report back to M. Sullivan. Harney said M. Sullivan said he would be willing to help with what ever direction the Board decides to take. Harney added that it is his understanding the Board committees are to meet and put things together. He said he and Meyers are meeting later this week with Secondary Roads. Stutsman said she was confused because at one time M. Sullivan said he was going to do it, and then he sent the memo out that made her question if the Board was supposed to be working on the objectives and goals. Harney said he thinks the memo came out because at an earlier meeting the Board had asked M. Sullivan to nudge them along. Stutsman said that helped to clarify things for her.
R. Sullivan said the Board will reconvene at 10:00 a.m. for a Public Meeting in Coralville.
