MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

JANUARY 8, 2009

      Chairperson Neuzil called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 6:33 p.m.  Members present were: Pat Harney, Larry Meyers, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.

      Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Harney, second by Sullivan, to enter Executive Session at 6:33 p.m. to discuss collective bargaining strategy for the Public Professional and Maintenance Employees (PPME) Sheriff's Unit, Administration Unit, and Secondary Roads Unit under section 20.17(3), Code of Iowa: “negotiating sessions, strategy meetings of public employees… shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter 21 (Official Meetings Open to the Public).”  Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Neuzil, Sullivan, Meyers.

Motion by Meyers, second by Stutsman, to leave Executive Session at 6:48 p.m.  Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Neuzil, Sullivan, Meyers.

      Adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
