9.    Continuation of Public Hearing on the following Zoning application:

         a)    First and Second consideration of the following Zoning application:

                1.    Rezoning Application 15861 of Kevin Kidwell requesting rezoning of 72.8 acres from A-Agricultural to R-Residential of certain property described as being in the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ and in the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 34, Township 81 North, Range 6 of the 5^th P.M., in Johnson County, Iowa. This property is located on the east side of Sugar Bottom Rd NE approximately 1250 feet north of its intersection with Broganville Lane NE in Big Grove Township.

10.   Business from the Board of Supervisors

        a)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign application for a State Historical Society of Iowa Certified Local Government Grant to be used to develop an application for Scenic Byway designation for a collection of roads from Dubuque to Iowa City that comprise the “Old Military Road” or “Dillon’s Furrow”. 

        b)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign the amending state Decategorization Contract # DCAT 7-09-142 to add $5,569 as approved by the Johnson County Decategorization Board in support of the African-American Advisory Committee’s “Save Our Children” conference to be held on September 10-11.

        c)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign a contract with Linn County Community Services in support of the Focus on Youth Fund, in the amount of $39,181.

        d)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign a contract with the Iowa Department of Public Health to support Substance Abuse Education and Prevention Programming in the amount of $10,000, with MECCA as the subcontractor. 

        e)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign Sheriff’s contract for the provision of law enforcement services to the town of Coralville in the amount of $11,096.65 for communication services.

        f)     Discussion/action re: appointments to the Johnson County Rural Advisory Committee.

g)    Discussion/action re: appointment of Supervisors to the Finance Committee.

          h)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to send a letter of thanks to Randy and Christine Howell for hosting the County’s Sutliff Village planning meetings.
