MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
OCTOBER 8, 2009
Vice-Chairperson Stutsman called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors in the Johnson County Health and Human Services Building, rooms 203B and 203C, at 1:05 p.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Iowa City Primary Election of October 6, 2009. Members present were: Pat Harney, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan; absent: Terrence Neuzil.
ABSTRACT OF VOTES
For the office of Iowa City Council At-Large there were three thousand four hundred forty-two (3,442) votes cast as follows: Jared Bazzell received one hundred ninety-five (195) votes; Terry Dickens received one thousand three hundred twenty-one (1,321) votes; Susan Mims received one thousand four hundred one (1,401) votes; Jeff Shipley received two hundred seventy-five (275) votes; Dan Tallon received two hundred two (202) votes; and scattering received forty-eight (48) votes.
We Therefore declare: Terry Dickens, Susan Mims, Jeff Shipley, and Dan Tallon duly elected to go on to the City Regular Election November 3rd, 2009.
Motion by Harney, second by Sullivan, to approve the results of the Iowa City Primary Election of October 6, 2009. Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan; absent: Neuzil.
