                 1.    Rezoning Application 15973 of Nathan Flatgard requesting rezoning of 3.98 acres from R-Residential to A-Agricultural and 9.96 acres from A-Agricultural to R5-Residential of certain property described as being in the NE of the SW and the SE of the SW of section 12, Township 81 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. This property is located on the east side of Hickory Hollow Road NE approximately ¾ of a mile south of its intersection with 120th Street NE in Jefferson Township.

                 1.   Subdivision Application 15809 of Harry Ambrose requesting preliminary plat approval of Rosewood, a subdivision described as being located in the SE ¼ of Section 22, Township 81 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa except for Auditor’s Parcel 2009034. This is a 24 lot, 7 outlot, 60.43 acre residential subdivision located on the east side of Curtis Bridge Road NE approximately 3000 feet north of its intersection with Highway 965 NE in Madison Township.

 

                 2.   Subdivision Application 15917 of Lila Jean Murphy requesting preliminary and final plat approval of JC Murphy Subdivision, a subdivision described as being located in the NW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 3, Township 79 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa.                  4.   Subdivision Application 15968 of Earl Womer Trust signed by Betty Eden, Trustee requesting preliminary and final plat approval of Womer Farm Estates Subdivision. A subdivision described as being located in the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 14, Township 78 North, Range 6 West of the 5th P.M. on Johnson County, Iowa. This is a 1 lot, 5 acre farmstead split located on the west side of Sand Rd SE approximately 1000 feet south of its intersection with 500th Street SE in Pleasant Valley Township.

 

                 5.   Subdivision Application 15970 of David Van Roekel requesting preliminary and final plat approval of Ever Tree Farm Estates. A subdivision described as being located in the S ½ of Section 24, Township 81 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. This is a 3 lot 87.02 acre residential subdivision located on the east side of Lake Manor Road NE approximately 1700 feet south of its intersection with Sandy Beach Road NE in Jefferson Township.

        a)    Motion authorizing the publication of  “Notice to Public for Finding of No Significant Impact on the Environment and Notice to Public of Intent to Request Release of Funds” related to Community Development Block Grant  (CBG) funding for flood buyouts.

 

        b)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to execute documents necessary for approval of Environmental Assessment for CDBG funding for flood buyouts.

 

          c)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign a 28E Shared Road Maintenance Agreement with the City of Swisher.

 

          d)    Motion approving an agreement with Vogel Traffic Services ($12.00/gallon applied) or LL Pelling Paint Division ($12.40/gallon applied) for application of pavement markings (various roads).

 

        e)    Motion authorizing the Chairperson to sign a contract with EyeMed Vision Care for employee vision care coverage effective January 1, 2010. 

 

        f)     Motion authorizing the extension of vision care coverage to non-bargaining employees, effective January 1, 2010. 

 

        g)    Discussion/action re: setting public hearing for FY 2010 Johnson County budget amendment for Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. and authorizing the Auditor’s Office to publish budget amendment hearing notice.

 

          h)    Discussion/action re: Resolution designating Andy Johnson as Authorized Representative for purposes of obtaining financial assistance from Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management for flood buyouts.
