MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

DECEMBER 22, 2009

      Vice Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Health and Human Services Building at 10:00 a.m.  Members present were: Pat Harney, Janelle Rettig, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan; absent: Terrence Neuzil.

      Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Sullivan, Rettig; absent: Neuzil.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Rettig, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Rettig, second by Sullivan, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of December 17, 2009. 

Motion by Harney, second by Sullivan, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Rettig, to accept the Recorder’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of November, 2009, in the amount of $174,221.45, as submitted by County Recorder Kim Painter.

Motion by Harney, second by Sullivan, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the Federal Aid HBRR Funding Agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for Project BROS-CO52(82)--5F-52, Sharon Center Road bridge replacement over Old Man’s Creek. 

Motion by Rettig, second by Sullivan, to appoint Bob Elliott to the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Rettig, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to send Bob Elliott a letter of appreciation for serving as the Justice Center Coordinating Committee Coordinator.
