MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
JANUARY 26, 2010
Chairperson Stutsman called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 2:00 p.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the January 19, 2010 Special Election to Fill a Vacancy on the Board of Supervisors. Members present were: Pat Harney, Terrence Neuzil, Janelle Rettig, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.
ABSTRACT OF VOTES
For the Office of Johnson County Supervisor (One to be elected) there were nine thousand seven hundred twenty-nine (9,729) votes cast as follows: Lori P. Cardella received three thousand seven hundred sixty-four (3,764) votes; James C. Knapp received three hundred thirty-two (332) votes; Janelle Rettig received five thousand six hundred eight (5,608) votes; and twenty-five (25) scattered write-in votes were cast.
We therefore declare Janelle Rettig duly elected for the office of County Supervisor to fill a vacancy with the term ending December 31, 2010.
Motion by Harney, second by Sullivan, to approve the results of the January 19, 2010 Special Election to Fill a Vacancy on the Board of Supervisors. Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Neuzil, Sullivan, Rettig.
