MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

FEBRUARY 4, 2010

      Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Health and Human Services Building at 9:00 a.m.  Members present were: Pat Harney, Terrence Neuzil, Janelle Rettig, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.

      Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Rettig, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Rettig, second by Neuzil, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of January 28, 2010. 

Motion by Harney, second by Sullivan, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Harney, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign: a Renewal Application for a Class B Beer Permit, Application for Outdoor Service Area, and Application for Sunday Sales Privilege for Hi Point Golf Course, Inc, Iowa City, as submitted by Scott Wood.

Motion by Neuzil, second by Sullivan, to accept the Recorder’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of December, 2009, in the amount of $184,437.93, as submitted by County Recorder Kim Painter.

Motion by Rettig, second by Sullivan, to approve the policy regarding use of the Employee Wellness Room.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Rettig, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign a letter of appreciation to the Johnson County Trails Foundation for a grant of $4,200 for the purchase of 65 destination signs to be placed along Johnson County trails and roadways.

Motion by Sullivan, second by Neuzil, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign a letter inviting employees to participate in Johnson County’s “Green Team”.
