MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
JANUARY 18, 2011
Chairperson Harney called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 4:00 p.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the January 11, 2011 special election to fill a City Council vacancy for University Heights. Members present were: Pat Harney, Terrence Neuzil, Janelle Rettig, Sally Stutsman, and Rod Sullivan.
ABSTRACT OF VOTES
For the Office of University Heights City Council Member to fill a vacancy there were four hundred ninty-six (496) votes cast as follows: Rosanne Hopson received two hundred sixty-two (262) votes; Jim Lane received two hundred thirty-four (234) votes; and zero (0) scattered write-in votes were cast. We therefore declare Rosanne Hopson duly elected to the office of University Heights City Council for the term commencing January 18, 2011, through December 31, 2011, and until a successor is elected and qualified.
Motion by Stutsman, second by Sullivan, to approve the results of the January 11, 2011 special election to fill a City Council vacancy for University Heights. Roll call: aye: Harney, Stutsman, Neuzil, Sullivan, Rettig.
