Chairperson Jordahl called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:02 a.m. Members present were: Charles Duffy, Jonathan Jordahl, Mike Lehman, Sally Stutsman, and Carol Thompson.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Lehman, second by Thompson, to appoint Sally Stutsman Chairperson for a term ending December 31, 2000.

Motion by Thompson, second by Duffy, to appoint Mike Lehman Vice-Chairperson for a term ending December 31, 2000.

Motion by Jordahl, second by Thompson, to meet informally on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. and Thursdays as needed and formally on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m., with the formal meeting on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Motion by Jordahl, second by Duffy, to appoint Sally Stutsman to the Sixth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Board of Directors for a term ending December 31, 2000.

Motion by Duffy, second by Thompson, to designate the Iowa City Press-Citizen, North Liberty Leader, Solon Economist, and Lone Tree Reporter as Johnson County’s official newspapers for 2000.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Jordahl, to appoint Mike Lehman to the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
