MINUTES OF THE INFORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
Tour of Sycamore Mall
FEBRUARY 9, 2000
Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in Sycamore Mall at 1:07 p.m. Members present were: Charles Duffy, Jonathan Jordahl, Mike Lehman, and Sally Stutsman; absent: Carol Thompson.
Benjamin Sherman and Sons Real Estate Broker Paul Rogers and Property Manager Cary Sanders gave a tour of Sycamore Mall. First the Board viewed Sears. Rogers said Sears square footage is 70,000 square feet. Stutsman, Jordahl, County Treasurer Tom Kriz, Ambulance Director Mike Sullivan, and SEATS Director Lisa Dewey discussed the possible use of the Sears Automotive Center for SEATS. Collocation of SEATS and Ambulance was also discussed.
Next the Board walked through Walgreen’s. Facilities Manager Mike Scheer, Stutsman and Lehman discussed the structure of Walgreen’s and possible repairs that might need to be made.
In a straw poll, Stutsman, Lehman and Jordahl directed Neumann Monson Project Architect AIA Dwight Dobberstein to purchase a comprehensive bidder package for $75.00 for the sale of Sycamore Mall, with possible bids due February 24, 2000.
