MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

NOVEMBER 20 AND 21, 2000

Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:58 a.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the General Election of November 7, 2000 for the office of East Central Regional Library Board. Members present were: Sally Stutsman; absent: Charles Duffy, Jonathan Jordahl, Mike Lehman, and Carol Thompson.

Recessed at 9: 59 a.m. due to lack of a quorum; reconvened on November 21, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. with Lehman, Stutsman, Thompson ,and Duffy present and Jordahl absent.

ABSTRACT OF VOTES

FOR THE OFFICE OF East Central Regional Library Board (One to be elected) there were forty-one thousand two hundred six (41,206) votes cast as follows: Jill Miller received forty thousand nine hundred eighty-five (40,985) votes and Scattering received two hundred twenty-one (221) votes; and Jill Miller was elected.

Motion by Lehman, second by Duffy,to approve the results of the General Election of November 7, 2000 for the office of East Central Regional Library Board. Roll call: aye: Lehman, Stutsman, Thompson, Duffy; absent: Jordahl.
