MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

FEBRUARY 1, 2001

Chairperson Lehman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Carol Thompson.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Neuzil, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Thompson, second by Stutsman, to approve the minutes of the formal meetings of January 18, 2001 and January 30, 2001.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Thompson, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Thompson, second by Harney, to accept the Recorder’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of December, 2000, in the amount of $92,650.59, as submitted by County Recorder Kimberly Painter.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Harney, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign the Johnson County Secondary Roads Five-Year Construction Program.

Motion by Thompson, second by Stutsman, to approve and adopt the Johnson County Secondary Roads future projects list.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Thompson, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to send a letter to the Iowa Child Project.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Thompson, to appoint Lise VanderVoort and Joan VanNatta to the Johnson County Cluster/Social Welfare Board for a term ending December 31, 2001.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Neuzil, to appoint to the Compensation Commission for a term ending December 31, 2001: Verne Folkmann and Richard Knoedel as owners of city or town property; and Myron Smalley in the other occupations category.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Harney, to appoint Dr. Stephen Scheckel, D.D.S., M.D., FACEP as Deputy Medical Examiner.
