MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

MARCH 6, 2001

Chairperson Lehman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 5:34 p.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Carol Thompson.

Convened Public Hearing on proposed FY 2002 Johnson County Budget at 5:34 p.m.

Lehman gave an executive summary of the proposed FY 2002 Johnson County Budget. Supervisors reviewed the budget service areas as follows: Stutsman- Human Services; Thompson- Capital Projects/Capital Expenditures and Technology; Lehman- State and Local Government Services and Interprogram Services; Neuzil- Roads and County Environment; and Harney- Public Safety and Court Services. Budget Coordinator Jeffrey Horne gave an overview of County Revenues. County Auditor Tom Slockett discussed the proposed FY 2002 Johnson County Budget’s impact on taxpayers. Lehman concluded the budget presentation.

Melvin Dvorsky spoke against the budget. Myron Smalley had questions regarding the County budget. Reverend Bob Welsh spoke regarding the budget. Aaron Brim had a question regarding the budget.

Public Hearing closed at 6:28 p.m.
