Chairperson Lehman called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 1:05 p.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Iowa City Primary Election of October 9, 2001. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, and Carol Thompson; absent: Sally Stutsman.

FOR THE OFFICE OF Iowa City Council Member District B (TWO to be nominated) there were two thousand eight hundred thirty (2,830) votes cast as follows:

Tim Borchardt received one hundred seventy-five (175) votes, Connie Champion received one thousand six hundred eighty-nine (1,689) votes, Charles A. Major received three hundred fifty-one (351) votes, Brandon Ross received six hundred twelve (612) votes and Scattering received three (3) votes; and Connie Champion and Brandon Ross were nominated.

FOR THE OFFICE OF Iowa City Council Member At-Large (FOUR to be nominated) there were ten thousand nineteen (10,019) votes cast as follows:

Leah J. Cohen received one thousand six hundred twenty-five (1,625) votes, Brian Davis received six hundred twenty-two (622) votes, Jacob R. Felderman received forty-six (46) votes, Colby Friend received one hundred eighty-eight (188) votes, Al-Ollie Habhab received one hundred fifty-one (151) votes, Ernie Lehman received three thousand two hundred ninety-nine (3,299) votes, Mike O’Donnell received two thousand five hundred seventy-eight (2,578) votes, John Robertson received one thousand three hundred seventeen (1,317) votes, Aaron Winter received one hundred seventy-one (171) votes, and Scattering received twenty-two (22) votes; and Leah J. Cohen, Ernie Lehman, Mike O’Donnell, and John Robertson were nominated.

Motion by Harney, second by Neuzil, to approve the results of the Iowa City Primary Election of October 9, 2001. Roll call: aye: Neuzil, Lehman, Thompson, Harney; absent: Stutsman.
