Chairperson Lehman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, and Carol Thompson; absent: Sally Stutsman.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken by the following vote: Roll call: aye: Neuzil, Lehman, Thompson, Harney; absent: Stutsman.

Motion by Thompson, second by Harney, to approve the claims on the Auditor’s Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Neuzil, second by Thompson, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of December20, 2001.

Motion by Harney, second by Neuzil, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Neuzil, second by Harney, to accept the Recorder’s Report of Fees Collected for the month of November, 2001, in the amount of $138,846.29, as submitted by County Recorder Kimberly Painter.

Motion by Harney, second by Thompson, to approve on first consideration an ordinance establishing voting precincts in Johnson County. Roll call: aye: Neuzil, Lehman, Thompson, Harney; absent; Stutsman.

Motion by Thompson, second by Neuzil, to approve the letter of agreement between City of Solon and Johnson County allowing Johnson County to provide passenger and meal delivery transit services within the city of Solon.

Motion by Harney, second by Thompson, to appoint J. George Swisher and Allan Berger to the Compensation Commission for a term ending December 31, 2002.

Motion by Thompson, second by Neuzil, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign an Application For Fireworks Permit for Francis D. Janaszak, 3054 River Front Estate NE, Iowa City, on January 1, 2002.
