MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

APRIL 16, 2002

Chairperson Thompson called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 9:00 a.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Special North Liberty Bond Election of April 9, 2002. Members present were: Pat Harney, Mike Lehman, Terrence Neuzil, Sally Stutsman, and Carol Thompson.

ABSTRACT OF VOTES

Upon the public measure (A)

Shall the City of North Liberty, in Johnson County, Iowa, issue its bonds in an amount not exceeding the amount of $3,950,000 for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of constructing, furnishing and equipping additions to the Community Center, including an aquatic facility and gymnasium/multi-purpose room?

there were nine hundred ten (910) votes cast, as follows:

FOR the question, there were six hundred twenty-two (622) votes cast.

AGAINST the question, there were two hundred eighty-eight (288) votes cast.

We therefore declare the public measure (A):

Shall the City of North Liberty, in Johnson County, Iowa, issue its bonds in an amount not exceeding the amount of $3,950,000 for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of constructing, furnishing and equipping additions to the Community Center, including an aquatic facility and gymnasium/multi-purpose room?

to be adopted.

Motion by Harney, second by Stutsman, to approve the results of the Special North Liberty Bond Election of April 9, 2002. Roll call: aye: Neuzil, Stutsman, Thompson, Lehman, Harney.
