MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

JANUARY 14, 1997

Vice-Chairperson Bolkcom called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 9:21 a.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the North Liberty Special Election of January 7, 1997. Present were: Joseph Bolkcom, Jonathon Jordahl, Stephen Lacina, Charles Duffy; absent was: Sally Stutsman.

ABSTRACT OF VOTES

FOR THE OFFICE OF North Liberty City Council Member -To Fill a Vacancy (ONE to be elected) there were three hundred sixty-five (365) votes cast as follows:

Ron Bandy received one hundred eighty-nine (189) votes, Larry J. Lee received seventy-five (75) votes, Brett Mangold received one hundred one (101) votes, and there were no Scattered votes.

We therefore declare Ron Bandy duly elected to the office of Council Member, for the remaining 36 month vacant term.

Motion by Lacina, second by Jordahl, to approve the results of the North Liberty Special Election of January 7, 1997. Roll call: aye: Jordahl, Bolkcom, Lacina, Duffy; absent: Stutsman.
