MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
JUNE 10, 1997
Chairperson Stutsman called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 9:00 a.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Special Election of June 3, 1997. Present were Joseph Bolkcom, Jonathan Jordahl, Stephen Lacina, Charles Duffy, and Sally Stutsman.
ABSTRACT OF VOTES
FOR THE OFFICE OF County Recorder there were eight thousand one hundred nine (8,109) votes cast as follows:
Deborah Conger received four thousand fifty-seven (4,057) votes, Steve Lacina Received four thousand forty (4,040) votes, and Scattered votes were twelve (12).
We therefore declare Deborah Conger duly elected to the office of County Recorder for the remaining 19 months of a vacated term.
Motion by Bolkcom, second by Jordahl, to approve the results of the Special Election of June 3, 1997. Roll call: aye: Bolkcom, Jordahl, Stutsman, Lacina, Duffy.
