MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
OCTOBER 2, 1997
Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:01 a.m. Members present were: Joseph Bolkcom, Jonathan Jordahl, Sally Stutsman, Stephen Lacina, and Charles Duffy.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.
Motion by Duffy, second by Jordahl, to approve the claims on the Auditor's Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Bolkcom, second by Jordahl, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of September 25, 1997.
Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, to place on file the Clerk's Report of Fees Collected for the month of August, 1997, in the amount of $2274.25, as submitted by Clerk of District Court Edward Steinbrech.
RESOLUTION 10-02-97-T1
TRANSFERRING FROM THE GENERAL BASIC FUND TO THE CONSERVATION
TRUST FUND
Whereas, the Board of Supervisors may periodically credit monies to the Conservation Trust Fund pursuant to Section 111A.6, Code of Iowa; and
Whereas, an additional $11,100 is needed to be transferred from FY97 ending general fund balances to qualify for FY98 REAP funding; and
Therefore, it is resolved that the Board of Supervisors directs the Auditor to transfer $11,100 from the General Basic Fund to the Conservation Trust Fund.

Motion by Lacina, second by Bolkcom, to approve Resolution 10-02-97-B1.
Motion by Jordahl, second by Bolkcom, to hold the formal meeting on the second Thursday of each month in the evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m., on a regular basis from this point forward. Roll call: aye: Bolkcom, Jordahl, Stutsman; nay: Duffy, Lacina.
Motion by Lacina, second by Bolkcom, to approve and authorize the Chairperson to sign an Application For Fireworks Permit for Troy Greene, Coralville, for display at 4661 Dane Road, Iowa City on October 5, 1997.
