MINUTES OF THE FORMAL MEETING OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

DECEMBER 23, 1997

Chairperson Stutsman called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:32 a.m. Members present were: Jonathan Jordahl, Sally Stutsman, Stephen Lacina, and Charles Duffy; absent: Joseph Bolkcom.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken with the following vote: aye: Jordahl, Stutsman, Lacina, Duffy; absent: Bolkcom.

Motion by Duffy, second by Lacina, to approve the claims on the Auditor's Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of December 18, 1997.

Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Request to amend Ordinance 01-09-97-Z2 and Application Z9642 of Bernard Erenberger by amending the legal description of property located in the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 10; Township 81 North; Range 6 West of the 5th P.M. (Ordinance 01-09-97-Z2 amended Ordinance 11-19-96-Z4 and Application Z9642.)

Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, to waive the requirement of three considerations before amending an ordinance and to approve the request to amend the legal description of Ordinance 01-09-97-Z2 and Application Z9642 on first and second consideration. Roll call: aye: Jordahl, Stutsman, Lacina, Duffy; absent: Bolkcom

Stutsman reported that audit reports have been filed in the office of the Board of Supervisors for the Coralville Public Library and Chatham Oaks.

Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, to set a public hearing for Fiscal Year 1998 budget amendment requests for January 22, 1998 at Johnson County Administration Building at 9:00 a.m.

Motion by Jordahl, second by Lacina, authorizing the Information Services Department to purchase a new HP3000.

Motion by Lacina, second by Duffy, authorizing the continued advertisement for S.E.A.T.S. Director.
