Executive Session: Evaluation of Department Heads

Chairperson Bolkcom called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:05 a.m. Members present were: Joseph Bolkcom, Jonathan Jordahl, and Sally Stutsman; absent: Charles Duffy, and Stephen Lacina.

Motion by Jordahl, second by Stutsman, to enter into Executive Session at 9:05 a.m. for an annual evaluation of Ambulance Director, Information Services Director, Human Resource Administrator, Human Services General Relief Director, Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Services Director, Physical Plant Manager, Secondary Roads Engineer, Senior Dining Director, Planning and Zoning Administrator, Administrative Assistant to the Board of Supervisors under section 21.5(1.i), Code of Iowa, "to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that individual requests a closed session." Roll call: aye: Bolkcom, Jordahl, Stutsman; absent: Lacina, Duffy.

Lacina and Duffy entered at 9:12 a.m.

Recessed at 9:44 a.m.; reconvened at 9:55 a.m. with Duffy absent until 10:00 a.m.

Lacina and Duffy left at 10:40 a.m. Lacina returned at 10:45 a.m.

Stutsman left and Duffy returned at 10:48 a.m.; Stutsman returned at 10:53 a.m.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Bolkcom, to leave Executive Session at 11:30 a.m. Roll call: aye: Bolkcom, Jordahl, Stutsman, Lacina, Duffy.

Adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
