Vice-Chairperson Jordahl called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:05 a.m. Members present were: Charles Duffy, Jonathan Jordahl, Mike Lehman, and Sally Stutsman.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Duffy, second by Lehman, to appoint Jonathan Jordahl Chairperson and Sally Stutsman Vice-Chairperson for terms ending December 31, 1999.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Duffy, to meet informally on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. and Thursdays as needed and formally on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. throughout 1999, with the formal meeting on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Lehman, to appoint Jonathan Jordahl to the Sixth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Board of Directors for a term ending December 31, 1999.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Duffy, to designate the Iowa City Press-Citizen, North Liberty Leader, Solon Economist, and Lone Tree Reporter as Johnson County's official newspapers for 1999.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Lehman, to appoint Jonathan Jordahl to the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
