MINUTES OF THE CANVASS OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

FEBRUARY 16, 1999

Chairperson Jordahl called to order the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 9:00 a.m. to act as a canvass board to certify the results of the Special Swisher Election of February 18, 1999. Members present were: Charles Duffy, Jonathan Jordahl, Mike Lehman; absent: Sally Stutsman and Carol Thompson.

ABSTRACT OF VOTES

Upon the public measure (A)

Shall the City of Swisher, Johnson County, Iowa, establish and operate a municipal waterworks utility for the City?

there were three hundred ninety-four (394) votes cast, as follows:

FOR the question, there were one hundred twelve (112) votes cast.

AGAINST the question, there were two hundred eighty-two (282) votes cast.

We therefore declare the public measure (A)

Shall the City of Swisher, Johnson County, Iowa, establish and operate a municipal waterworks utility for the City?

not to be adopted.

Thompson arrived at 9:02 a.m.

Motion by Lehman, second by Duffy, to approve the results of the Special Swisher Election of February 9, 1999. Roll call: aye: Lehman, Jordahl, Thompson, Duffy; absent: Stutsman.
