MARCH 25, 1999

Chairperson Jordahl called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Administration Building at 9:04 a.m. Members present were: Charles Duffy, Jonathan Jordahl, Mike Lehman, Sally Stutsman, and Carol Thompson.

Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Thompson, to approve the claims on the Auditor's Claim Register, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Lehman, second by Stutsman, to approve the minutes of the formal meeting of March 11, 1999.

Motion by Duffy, second by Thompson, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.

Motion by Stutsman, second by Duffy, to place on file the Clerk's Report of Fees Collected for the month of February, 1999, in the amount of $3,401.79, as submitted by Clerk of District Court Lodema Berkley, and the Treasurer's Semi-annual Settlement of the Board of Supervisors for the period beginning July 1, 1998, and ending December 31, 1998, as submitted by County Treasurer Tom Kriz.

SECTION VI. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become effective, after its passage and approval, upon publication as part of the proceedings of the Board of Supervisors.

Whereas, the owner has filed application S9903 for approval of a preliminary and final plat of Kramer Subdivision, and

Whereas, the County Zoning Commission having studied said application recommends that the plat be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Johnson County, Iowa:

1. That said plat be approved.

2. That the Chairperson be directed to sign said plat and Subdivider's Agreement.

RESOLUTION 03-25-99-Z2

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

FOR WENDLING QUARRIES

Whereas, the owner has filed application CU9901 for approval of a Conditional Use Permit for Wendling Quarries, and

Whereas, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors have reviewed said application and finds the proposed use to be consistent with the requirements of Chapter 8:1.34 of the Johnson County Zoning Ordinance.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved By the Board of Supervisors of Johnson County, Iowa:

1. That said Conditional Use Permit be approved subject to the conditions listed in Appendix A.

2. That the Chairperson be directed to sign said permit.

3. That said permit expires March 25, 2040.

NAMING DEPOSITORIES

Whereas, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors of Johnson County in Johnson County, Iowa approves the list of financial institutions to be depositories of the Johnson County funds in conformance with applicable provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 12C.2 Deposit of Public Funds, Approval-requirements; and

Whereas, the Treasurer has requested the addition of Brenton Bank in Iowa City with a maximum balance of $2,000,000 and changes in the balance maximums for the following banks Hawkeye State Bank in Iowa City from $9,000,000 to $7,000,000, Swisher Trust & Savings in Swisher from $7,000,000 to $2,000,000, First Trust & Savings in Oxford from $7,000,000 to $2,000,000, Hills Bank & Trust in Hills from $12,000,000 to $25,000,000, Union Planters in Iowa City from $5,000,000 to $2,000,000, Exchange State Bank in Swisher from $5,000,000 to $2,000,000; Recorder has requested the addition of Hills Bank & Trust in Hills with a maximum balance of $250,000; Auditor requested a change in Mercantile Bank in Iowa City balance maximum from $400,000 to $600,000; and SEATS has requested the addition of Hills Bank & Trust in Hills with a maximum balance of $10,000.
