and New Districts by Precinct
The table below lists the legislators who represented the old districts, the
new legislative district number for the precinct, and the names of legislators in the new district.
Legislators elected in 1998 and 2000 were elected to represent the old
districts in the 2002 legislative session and through the end of 2002.
Voters chose legislators for the new districts in the 2002 primary and
general elections. The legislators elected in the 2002 general election began
serving in the 2003 session.
This means you may have been represented in the 2002 legislative session by
someone you were not able to vote on again, and that someone who had not represented you
previously may have been on your 2002 ballot.

formerly annexed precincts, and parts of the
precinct were in different legislative districts.
East Lucas South and the Saddlebrook area of Iowa City
Precinct 12 were in old districts House 47 (Brauns) and Senate 24 (Drake).
The Windsor Ridge and Scott Park areas of Iowa City Precincts 16 and 25
were in old House District 46 (Mascher). All of these areas are now in new
districts House 78 (Lensing) and Senate 39 (Bolkcom).
Hummingbird Lane in Iowa City 25 was in old House District 46
(Mascher) and old Senate District 23 (Bolkcom). It is now in new House
District 79 (Boddicker) and new Senate District 40 (Drake).
A small part of North Liberty Precinct 1 on West Penn St. was
in old House District 50 (Foege). The entire city of North Liberty is now
in new House District 30 (Myers).
Recent annexations by Iowa City and Tiffin have created new annexed
precincts.
