County candidates representing the Democratic, Green and Republican parties
were able to file with the Auditor's Office from March 4-27. Other
county candidates may file for the November 5 general election between August 5
- 28. The political parties may nominate candidates for county office by
convention to fill ballot vacancies through August 28.
Before August 5, the Johnson County Auditor's Office will accept a notice
of intent to declare candidacy from candidates for county and township
office only who do not represent the three official parties.
