Note: Under Iowa law a person may only hold one township
office. In Lincoln Township, Amie Rockafellow was elected as a write in to a four year
term as trustee, but was already serving as a trustee for a term expiring in 2010.
She accepted the new term expiring in 2012, thus vacating the old term expiring
in 2010.
Trustees elected by write in may decline the position, in which case the two
trustees will appoint a third and the position will appear on the ballot for a two
year term in 2010.
In Washington Township, there was no quorum as only one elected trustee
accepted the position; the Board of Supervisors appointed the other two
trustees. |
