The Green and Libertarian Parties did not have political organization status in 2004.

Registration statistics for both 2004 and 2008 are from the day before the election, at the end of the day. 2008 was Iowa's first general election with same-day voter registration. Because of election day registrations and party changes, some Green and Libertarian turnouts are more than 100 percent of the November 3, 2008 registration.

Due to additions, deletions, errors and corrections, vote totals by age may not exactly match the final canvassed vote total.
