Committee members present: County Recorder Kim Painter, and County Treasurer Tom Kriz. Also present: Recording Secretary Todd Schanbacher.

County Treasurer Tom Kriz: We'll call the meeting to order. Item 2 is discussion action to make the appointment of Carol Thompson to the Board of Supervisors effective February 1, 1999.

Painter: This certainly seems to be the understanding that we had at the first Board of Supervisors meeting that Carol Thompson attended after we made the selection process so I would move, if there is no further discussion, that we go ahead and accept that date as a start date for Carol.

Kriz: I second that then.

Painter: That makes it unanimous right there.

Kriz: In lieu of Tom Slockett being absent, all in favor say aye.

Painter: Aye.

Kriz: Aye. Opposed? OK. Motion is unanimous. Any additional questions or discussion regarding this candidate.

Painter: We do have some suggestions but we may want to wait and just talk about that. We made a decision to compile some tremendous suggestions that we had from our candidates back to the Board of Supervisors. Bob Welsh has kindly offered and has drafted a beginning document.

Kriz: Bob has done a nice document showing what he felt were some of the high points. I think it would be appropriate for us to go through those and then turn that over. So I agree that's a good point.

Painter: Aside from that though, I move for us to adjourn.

Kriz: I will second that. All in favor?

Painter: Aye.

Kriz: Aye. We are adjourned.
