We are writing in support of Norm Bickford for appointment to the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.
We have known Norm for 4 years and worked with him in his capacity as developer of the Golfview housing addition in West Branch. He has the qualities we believe vital to fill this position. He possesses honesty, integrity, humility and dependability. He has a strong Midwestern work ethic with the ability to create innovative solutions to difficult situations.
Norm is very involved in West Branch city government and has offered many innovative solutions to city issues. He is in tune with county, rural and city issues. He has a strong personal sense of civic responsibility. We believe Norm's experience as business owner, farmer and building contractor furnishes him with some great perspectives on county government.
Norm has unique qualifications that we believe make him the best-qualified candidate for this office. We believe that the rural community helps to create Johnson County just as much as Iowa City and Coralville, and that this rural essence of who we are needs to have representation on the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.
