I am writing to urge you to promote Susan Horowitz, 1129 Kirkwood Avenue, to fill the vacancy at this time on the Board of Supervisors.

I became acquainted with Susan when the family moved to the above address in 1982. Their daughter and my grandchildren walked to Mark Twain School and later City High.

Susan is a very dedicated lady. She not only served on the Iowa City Council and later as Mayor, but also is very involved in the Domestic Violence Intervention Program, Iowa City League of Women Voters, in her Church and the list goes on and on. She always digs deeply into problems to learn the reason for the problem and then attempts to find a proper solution. She is enthusiastic and willing to use as much time as needed.

I heartily recommend Susan to this position.
