same display as cable viewers.
Faxed Results
We will fax precinct by precinct results to our regular list of
news media contacts. Please contact our office with any changes or
corrections to fax numbers. Format and layout will be the same as the
returns page on the web site.
Clear Creek Amana Write-In Results
No candidates filed in the Clear Creek
Amana
District 4 race. The winner will be determined by write-in votes.
Initial reports of Clear Creek
Amana
District 4 results will list only the total number of write-in votes cast. Write-in totals
for individual candidates will be reported after precincts return supplies
to our office on Election Night. Our web site and fax page will be revised
to include these results, but they will not be included in our televised
results.
In other contests, scattered write-in votes not determining the outcome of a
contest will be reviewed in the days following the election. In the
event a write-in candidate earns more than 2 percent of the vote, that person will be
included in the final canvass of votes and listed on the web site.

When are the results final?
Once the poll workers have returned their supplies to our office, our staff
will review the printouts from the voting machines and the write in results
for Clear Creek Amana District 4 and make any
corrections. Once all corrections are made, results will include the
heading "Verified Preliminary Final Results including write-ins." These will be
the last returns posted on September 8th.
Vote totals may change in the days following the election as special
ballots and late arriving absentee ballots with timely postmarks are counted.
All election results are unofficial until the official canvass of votes,
conducted by the Johnson County Board of Supervisors at 2 p.m. Friday,
September 11. Following the canvass, results will include the heading "Final
Official Results." These results will remain on our site
permanently as a historic record. Past
