Full Text
The following section will be added to
Article VII would read as follows:
SEC. 10. A natural resources

State including parks, trails, and fish and wildlife habitat, and conserving
agricultural soils in this State. Moneys in the fund shall be exclusively
appropriated by law for these purposes.
The general assembly shall
provide by law for the implementation of this section, including by providing

About this list
The above list includes the winners of the
June 8 primary election, candidates nominated at the Democratic and
Republican state conventions, and other candidates who have filed with the
Secretary of State or county auditor. Other persons may consider themselves candidates and may in
the future file affidavits of candidacy for the November 2 general election
ballot, but only the two official political parties participated in the
June 8 primary. The website Politics1.com
lists federal and statewide candidates who may file for the general election.
The filing period for the November 2 general election for candidates not representing the two official parties is
July 26 - August 13 for federal, statewide, and legislative candidates and
August 2-25 for county candidates. Ballot
Access and Candidate Qualifications The political parties may also
nominate federal, statewide or legislative candidates by convention to fill
ballot vacancies through August 13, and county candidates through August 25 .
This page will be frequently updated through the filing period as candidates
file.
Before August 2, the Johnson County Auditor's Office will
accept a notice of intent to declare candidacy
from candidates for county office only who do not
represent the two official parties. After that date, we will list candidates as
soon as they file.
Note regarding candidate
phone numbers
Upon filing nomination papers, all candidates complete an affidavit of
candidacy form. This includes a space for the candidate's phone number
with the notation "Optional, will be published." If no phone
number is listed for a candidate on this web site, the candidate left the
phone number space blank on the affidavit of candidacy.
Note regarding candidate
e-mail addresses and web sites
The affidavit of candidacy form also includes a space for the candidate to
list an e-mail address. To e-mail a candidate, replace the italic AT
in the address with the @ sign.
If no e-mail address is listed for a candidate, the candidate left the
e-mail address space blank on the affidavit of candidacy.
Links are provided to web sites for candidates who have already filed.
If a candidate who has filed has a site that we have not listed, please inform
our office so we may add it. Disclaimer
