Guide to Elections on our web site
The Auditor's Office web site is designed to be a comprehensive, continually
updated guide for voters.
For purposes of illustration, all links below will open in new
windows.
Our home page is www.jcauditor.com.
You will see our logo and menu bar at the top of each page.
Voter Registration
The Register To Vote link at the bottom of the
menu will give you instructions on how to print or locate a voter registration
form. (You can't register on line; the law requires your signature.)

At the Precinct
Finder link on the menu bar you can enter your address to find your polling place.
Elections Main Page
Our main elections page (Elections on the menu bar)
has many links to voter information. Our
extensive voter guide answers our most frequently
asked questions. We also maintain an election
calendar of upcoming elections, events, and deadlines.
Updates During an Election
When an election is coming up, we post as much information as we can and
place a headline on our home page with a link to the election. The main
page for an election is updated often as election day approaches.
The main page for the next election includes:
- a countdown to the election
- offices or issues that will be on the ballot
- filing deadlines
- polling place hours
- lists of candidates
- historic facts and figures for similar elections
As we get closer to Election Day, the page is expanded. In past
elections we have included:
- sample ballots
- absentee ballot request forms
- early voting schedules
- early voting statistics
- an advance guide to election night
returns
Election Returns
Our web site is a popular resource for election results. Each
Election Day we post updates on turnout during the day. Once the polls
close we post election returns including a summary of grand totals in all
contests and precinct-by-precinct results in contested races. Visit Election
Returns on the menu bar to see past results, which are left on the web site as a permanent historic record.
Elected Officials
Click on Elected Officials on the
menu bar for a complete directory
of local, state and federal elected officials serving Johnson County. The directory also includes links to official web sites and
a schedule for local government meetings.
Other Features
We have a page of links to voter information sites,
political parties, campaign finance information, and other interesting topics.
Each week we update our voter registration
statistics.
